Programme Overview Sailing & Hiking (for small groups from 6 people)
The tour begins with sightseeing and swimming on the famous island of Scorpios (also known as Onassis Island). We then dock at Meganisi, where we meet our friendly crew who provide all the information we need for the first day of our exciting adventure – the hiking and sailing tour through the Ionian Islands. After breakfast the next day, we set sail across the Ionian Sea, visiting the historic Papanikolis Cave along the way. There we have ample time for swimming and later hiking to Homer’s (Odysseus’) Ithaca, in the beloved village of Kioni.
Days 3 and 4 find us in the northwest of Kefalonia – Assos and the picturesque village of Fiskardo, both authentic and truly scenic. We visit two of the island’s most famous and cosmopolitan ports, enjoy beautiful beaches, explore the magnificent castle, and hike along two of the Ionian Islands’ best-known trails.
On day five, we continue to the capital of Ithaca to explore the colourful and relaxed Vathi, renowned for its lively bars and tavernas. Day 6 is spent on the untouched island of Kalamos, where you should have your cameras ready for a gentle, scenic hike from Episkopi to the main town.
Our final anchorage and the seventh day of our journey is the vibrant capital and port city of Lefkada, where we can explore the historic town, shop for souvenirs by bike or on foot, and say farewell with a complimentary, relaxing massage before heading home.
